Girl Ventures
GirlVentures gives adolescent girls the opportunity to explore outdoor adventures while experiencing social emotional learning. Girlventures works to build leaders, establish self confidence, and teach critical life skills while backpacking through the northern California wilderness. The girls are mentored by individuals who aim to help them reach their full potential by empowering them with the knowledge they need during this critical period in their lives.
THe Outdoorist Oath
The Outdoorist Oath, also known as just The Oath, is a commitment to the planet, inclusion and adventure. Founded by Teresa Baker, José González, and Pattie Gonia, they describe themselves as a way of being and doing. The Outdoorist Oath is a way for adventurers to build a relationship between elements through experiences with nature while showing up for all three simultaneously. They also offer a free two hour workshop where they teach a model of creating allyship between the planet, inclusion, and adventure.

1% For the Planet
1% for the Planet is an organization that pairs businesses and individuals with certified and pre-approved nonprofits, each with a different environmental focus. 1% for the Planet was founded by Yvon Chouinard, the CEO of Patagonia, and Craig Matthews in 2002. Since then, their network has grown to include over 4,000 businesses and individuals which have given back over $200 million to a variety of nonprofits.
By contributing to 1% for the Planet, businesses, as well as individuals, receive third party certification, strategic giving approaches, networking opportunities, engagement, and visibility. It is an internationally recognized and respected organization that makes giving back to our planet easy.
